Note: An intergeneric hybrid of Cupressus macrocarpa and Chamaecyparis nootkatensis.
Widely grown as an evergreen specimen or screen, the Leyland Cypress was popular in the nursery and landscape industries because of its rapid growth, strong, predictable form and adaptability to urban conditions. Unfortunately in recent years several fungal diseases have caused significant dieback to established specimens.
